Extreme Kayak Paddle: Brave paddlers push off at high noon at the Parker Street Landing and travel approximately three miles down the Lackawanna River to finish at Sweeney’s Beach, where they will be greeted by well-wishers to help them haul their icicle-laden kayaks out of the river. There is no fee to dodge the Lackawanna River’s icebergs in your kayak, but donations are welcome. Waivers will be available to sign at the launch. (Map to Parker St. Landing is below)
